Update: The Lord has provided! His people have generously given to meet our need, and we’ve signed the lease. Our moving day is September 7! We need strength in these super busy days. We still need prayer for extra monthly support to pay the higher rental cost and extra travel costs associated with William’s new responsibilities. Thank you so much for your prayer and support!
You’ve been reading about our next steps in ministry in Belgium, with William’s responsibilities increasing to coordinate the mission’s 6 Christian bookstore outreaches throughout Belgium. We have been looking for an apartment in the Brussels area, and the Lord has given us favor with one landlord, who is willing to rent his apartment in Woluwe (suburb of Brussels) to us, despite our low income, while our applications for other apartments were rejected. We are so thankful that this is the cheapest of all the apartments and it is close to the mission’s headquarters, where both of us must work regularly.
The landlord is preparing the contract for us to sign, but before we sign, we still need a large sum for the security deposit, first month’s rent and moving costs. We also need more monthly supporters to make up a shortfall, especially now with extra housing and transport costs. Would you please pray with us about this time-sensitive need and consider if you might be able to give a one-time or monthly gift? We are hoping to move in the first week of September.
